PACIFIC COAST XPRESS

Pacific Coast Xpress is the first ever high-speed rail in the U.S. which will run along California's Coast from Los Angeles up to San Francisco. The goal in creating its identity was to create a system that reflects the wide range of colors that California offers along the coast while embracing the accessibility and connectivity that this will bring to Californians and their visitors.
One of the challenges was creating a more efficient name for the rail system or something along those lines Pacific Coast Xpress is a name that pays homage to the iconic coastal highway that Californians and all of its visitors experience to get from Norcal to Socal. Changing the spelling of Express to Xpress visually portrays speed and precision. Pacific Coast Xpress can be abbreviated to PCX. Gradients play a big part in this system as secondary elements that represent speed, progress, and pay homage to the iconic sunsets of the Pacific Coast.
